My Chef

D.J. today wanted to make homemade brownies and... Whala! He accidently put them in a 9x9 rather than a 9x13 pan. Opps

Another shot of the delicious brownies

Traditional Pumpkin Carving

OUR MASTERPIECES!!!

Here is Kat, Dad, Me, and D.J. (I was a little cold, if you can't tell.) It sure was alot of fun getting together with the family to decorate pumpkins. Kathy's was the best, but dad's came pretty close. I think it is a rib cage, zebra, or some has said it looks like a butt. Who really knows though.

D.J. and I's perfect pumpkins.

Before we started carving we all made our own individual pizza's thanks to D.J.'s brilliant idea. Here is Matt and Lisa together while decorating theirs.

Grandma and Deej enjoying their yummy pizzas too.

Tree Be Gone

I wish I had a before picture to show you all, however, this is where our old pine tree once was. D.J. and Dad spent nearly 2 whole days taking out our very large pine tree by hand. We are so greatful for all the help dad gave to us. Our house sure is coming along thanks to D.J.

Harvest

D. J. and I wanted to start a garden during our first summer in our new house. Here is our first grown harvested produce. Although we didn't do great, we learned alot and plan to do better next year. I really appreciate my mom and grandpa for helping us out... and especially for D.J. and all the hard work he did to allow me to have my garden this year.

Another picture of our veggies.

Primary Activity Day

I've finally recieved a calling in our new ward. I have been called to Activy day leader for young girls ages 8-11. Last Tuesday was our first get together and I thought it was alot of fun. There are a total of 11 girls however only 5 came last week. I'm really excited about my calling and hope I can make a positive impact in these girls lives and be a good example to them as they are to me. Here are girls that attended last weeks activity day group.
Natalie, Ashlyn, Daysha, Madie, and Sara

Fun with Kylie and Calvin Collette

We've had the great opportunity to spend some extra time with James and Deanne's three children over the last month. Although Parker, their youngest, is fun, nothing compares to their two older kids, Kylie and Calvin. They are the two sweetest kids and love to have fun and stay busy.
Here is D.J., Kylie and our cat Zella at our house. Kylie, Calvin and Deanne had a sleepover w/ D.J. and I last weekend. It was alot of fun. It did make me more aware that our house is deffinetly not child proof and I have alot to learn before we have kids.
Calvin enjoying homemade brownie batter.... Yum!

D.J. and Kylie digging for gold.

More pics of Kylie and D.J. at our sleepover.

Here is Dad, Deanne, Me, Calvin, Kylie and D.J. on Dad and Mom's deck. During the week of the fourth we all had a sleep over together outsided of mom and dad's house on blow up mattresses. It sure was alot of fun and I slept great, however, D.J. ended up sleeping on the floor because Kylie scooted him out. :)

2009's Family Trip

D.J.'s Family had planned for us all to go to Hawaii as a family vacation and get away. All of D.J.'s brothers and sisters were able to come but his younger sister Christine, who we missed, due to her having adorable twin boys. This was a great experience for us all to have some adult time to spend w/ one another and to have quality family time.
This is D.J. and I at a beautiful resort in Hawaii where we were able to enjoy a Luau w/ all the family.
Us girls at a light house look out.

All the family at the Luau on a chinese bridge.

Here is a beatiful view of hawaii and it's lush greenery and blue ocean.

This picture was us girls on our girls day. We had all just gotten a pedicure and enjoyed a tasty lunch together. The camera was on a 3 sec timer and Amy was the one who had to push the bottom and run into the picture. Here was where amy almost didn't make it into the picture, hints the way her and I look. :)

D.J. and I on a hiking and waterfall excersion. This was absolutely beautiful and such a fun experience to see all the greenery and unique fruits while we hiked and Kayaked through hawaii.
Kathy, Me, and Celeste on a look out beside the road.

This would be me after we got off the plane and into Hawaii. Here I am showing off all our beautiful Lays that mom's friend greeted us with.

Graduation Here I Come!

I am officially graduating from my Licensed Practical Nursing Program May 11, 2009. I can not tell you all just how excited I am to be done with school. Although it went by fast, it still is great to be done. I am planning on working at Rosemark Women's Care Specialists when I'm through and will work for about 2 years until D.J. and I start a family of our own. D.J. is still in school and working hard. It will be even more great when he is done with school as well, he has about 2 years left. The end is in sight. Love you all and hope everyone is doing well. Love ya

HAPPY EASTER!

HAPPY EASTER! Here is my mom and I coloring easter eggs together! I know we are a little old for this, but it's a family tradition... and FUN!

Neally's Grandkids ready for their easter egg hunt!

D.J. and I made the famous "Bunny Cake" for our easter dinner. D.J. frosted the bunny, while I decorated it's face. I think we did a pretty good job. Another Family tradition.

Next best thing to Kids

Next best thing to kids for D.J. and I are these two Cats. We bought Zella(left) and Mazie(right) during the first week we moved in to our home. They are so much fun to have and we love having some extra company in our house. D.J. and I always thought we were dog people but with our busy schedules that we have there was no way we could care for a dog. So... instead we bought two cats. They are very independent creatures and just love to sleep and eat all day. They are great and we love having them as part of our family.

The Latest News!

Our New Home!!!
D.J. and I's latest news is that we have purchased our first home. Although it needs a little work on the inside, we absolutely love it. Below is a picture of one of the rooms we are currently working on. This will be our family room where we watch movies and where our kids can play and have fun. Prior to our renovation there was neon yellow walls with brown paneling and brown shaggy carpet. I think this is much better. D.J. is also working in our laundry room, which is the room just over from this one. He really is doing a great job with fixing our house up. Dad has really helped out alot also.

So... here is our back yard. In the corner by the fence is an apple tree, which will be fun come summer time. In the other corner of the yard ( you can't see) is a nice shed to put our lawn equipment in and also a great spot to place a garden. I think I'm going to try and attempt to garden this summer.
